I started cake decorating as a hobby and enjoyed it so much, that I decided to go to night school to study cake decorating and to learn how to decorate cakes properly. I have attended cake-decorating workshops with some of the top cake decorators.
After completing a course in cake decorating at the local College, I felt that my confidence and interest in cake decorating had increased so much that I felt that I could make a living out of making and decorating cakes.
I have been icing cakes for approximately 25 years and decided to open my own cake decorating business. In 1989, I started trading in the small shop next door to my husband’s butchery shop at 7 Barry Road, Barry, South Wales.
After trading for 11 years my business had increased so much that I felt that I needed to move into larger premises. As my husband had to retire in December 1999 due to ill health and therefore close his shop, we decided to refurbish this larger shop and I moved into the shop in August 2000.
We now supply wedding cakes, novelty,and corporate cakes, all our cakes are made with the choicest ingredients, whether it is fruit, chocolate or Madeira.
